Staff Guidelines
Welcome to the staff guidelines. Please read through all aspects of this page to decrease your chance's of an infraction or worse termination 😨
Section 1 is outdated and will be changed in due time.
Section 1 - Chain of Command:
You must follow the Chain of Command at all times with any questions or queries. This means contacting your direct supervisor first (this means a Moderator seeing the HoM, and Admin seeing the HoA, an IA Agent seeing HoIA etc). If they are unable to assist you, they will direct you to the appropriate person. There should be no reason for directly pinging directive or DMing them and Staff. If you directly need directive for a specific issue, open a Directive Support Ticket. Direct supervisors can be seen in the illustrated CoC attached.
Failure to follow appropriate CoC will result in a strike
Section 2 - Commands:
Use of Commands must be appropriate and within the limitations of your role. At all times you must use more than five letters in your command.
Commands On-duty. While on duty as a moderator you can use commands for any reason directly related to your job as a Moderator to assist members of the community and enforce LCRP rules.
Commands Off-Duty. Members of our Leadership Team (that is ranks Staff Supervisor (SS) and above) can use commands off duty at any time so long as they are used appropriately and within the general command use rules. Members not within the Leadership Team may never use commands off-duty with the exception of using the ‘Private Message’ (:pm) command for matters not directly related to enforcing rules upon the community. Examples of this include;
[:pm toast Want to do an RP?]is acceptable[:pm to Don’t do that RDM]is NOT acceptable.
Section 3 - Rule Enforcement and On-Duty Moderation:
While on-duty all staff must actively enforce the LCRP Game Rules to all players. This means proactive moderation action. Failure to do this may result in disciplinary action.
When enforcing rules in-game all moderators must first inform the offender of what actions they have completed and what the related consequence is. This is shown below;
[:bring bad_user] [You are being Moderated for X and X] [This means you will be getting a Warning/Kick/Ban]
The only exception to this rule is during a REM (Rapid Enforcement of Moderation) where a particular rule violation is being targeted. For example, if GTA driving is being enforced during an REM and a kick is the appropriate punishment, you may immediately kick them without prior communication if it is not physically possible to have prior communication. Note REM can only be started by a member of the Leadership Team (SS+)
After completing a moderation action you must log it within 30 minutes through ERM. Failure to do so means the action is voided.
Staff found approving disruptive Roleplays are subjected to punishment. Approved RPs must be monitored, within our guidelines and not disruptive to regular RP and operations.
Staff members on duty have the right to revoke any RP permissions at any time if they believe it to be disruptive. They must have due reasons for their actions.
All moderation actions must contain valid proof regardless of what has happened. This has to be a video ONLY if you cannot record make sure that the screenshot has the scene where the user got moderated. If you fail to provide proof you will be infracted regardless of rank.
Section 4 - Ethics and Values:
At all times LCRP must maintain and uphold the values and good image/reputation of Logan City RP and Clevoo Group. Misrepresentation of these brands can lead to serious consequences.
Whilst Moderating Staff members must not allow their personal views, opinions and beliefs to hinder or obstruct the appropriate enforcement of rules.
In addition to this Staff members must not express views that can be deemed against the LGBTQIA+ community and additionally views that can be deemed against a particular racial or religious group.
Staff must uphold LCRP values of Respect, Equality, Friendship, Fairness and a Firm Stance on Policy Breaking.
Staff are a representation of the LCRP brand and therefore held to a higher standard. They are expected to follow all rules at all times
Any indication of slander, defamation or disrespect of Staff or Leadership in a public setting or channel (including Staff Channels) is subject to a 5 day suspension and strike per offence (or message).
Knowingly exploiting a loophole at any time under any circumstance is grounds for suspension and 2 rank demotions.
Section 5 - Advertising:
While on duty staff must wear only LCRP uniform at all times with no additional UGC's (e.g police vests).
Staff are not allowed at any time to advertise another server in-game, whether that be through messaging or by wearing advertisement materials.
Section 6 - Shifts and On-Duty:
While On-Duty in game Staff must be on shift at all times. This must be logged through ERM. They must be on the Sheriff Team, using a vehicle with the Staff Livery and actively patrolling.
Staff must be able to meet a quota of 1 hour per week. If you cannot meet this quota then you must apply for RDA (reduced activity).
Section 7 - IA and Staff Infractions:
Both Staff and Community members of LCRP reserve the right to report a Staff member for any reason deemed to be a rule violation.
During any IA interaction Staff and community must not withhold any information and proof from the IA Agents dealing with the ticket.
During any IA Interaction, everyone within the ticket must be treated with respect. Showing disrespect towards any Staff members within the ticket will lead to the ticket being put in hold and possible additional repercussions.
You do not have the right to request a different IA member to deal with your ticket. You are not able to request a specific IA Agent or higher member to deal with your ticket
However when submitting an appeal, you are able to request that the IA Agent handling your ticket is not the same member who originally infracted you.
It is strongly encouraged that during any IA interaction where you are deemed at fault that you admit to your actions and apologize. This allows us to move forward more effectively and may lead to a reduced punishment for you.
Also note that all staff are subject to age verification before any training begins. Moreover current staff may be subjected to age verification if deemed necessary.
